Soft Exit
I walk at night. I pause. I frame. I disappear.
Statement
Soft Exit is not a project. It is a practice.
I walk at night. I pause. I frame. I disappear. Without ceremony, explanation, or obligation. An ongoing photographic and meditative practice exploring nocturnal movement, psychological distance, and the freedom found in moving through the world without announcement.
For a Black man, the night carries paradox: anonymity and vigilance. Freedom and awareness. Soft Exit lives inside that paradox.
This is not finished. It is a lifelong practice. Every city, every walk after midnight, every moment of stepping out without explanation feeds it. The work is less about geography and more about emotional terrain. How people exist near each other without touching. How objects carry memory. How light reveals what daylight hides.
