Lucid Dreamscape

An altar to the chorus of Black women who taught me to live my dreams.

Statement

Strength in softness.

Jodie Turner-Smith and I danced into each other's lives. She became a muse, a sister, a conspirator in the alchemy of creativity. This work is an altar to the chorus of Black women who taught me to live my dreams. Because of you, I see strength in softness: in kindness, patience, focus, and sometimes, silence. You love hard, and you've shown me that when wielded with intention, love wins.
